News of the new Pokemon X & Y game is really exciting, Nintendo are happy for us to know all about it and what to expect. So here are my thoughts on Pokémon.
Pokémon was a big thing for me when i was younger. I had T-Shirts, Toys, games, pictures, posters and of course I had the Trading cards, and this Blog will start with the cards.
Over the years the cards have got mixed reaction from players some say that they are amazing while other, older, players say that there is to much and so many rules to follow. My reaction to the cards is they are awesome. The cards were always going to become more graphical and more desirable throughout the years.
I can remember my first Pokémon card it was Meowth. When i got this card I knew then and there I was always going to have Pokémon cards in my life. Recently I have bought one of the Black and White decks, they still have some of the old characters in them and they now come with a lot more than, as I can remember, the old packs used to come with.
There are so many different cards i could go on for ages talking about them but i must move on and talk about something else.
The games in my opinion are the best part of the Pokémon franchise, you get a Pokémon and train it and make it like you and battle your way through regions and the Pokémon League. My favourite game from the franchise is and always will be Silver, Now on DS as SoulSilver. Silver was excellent with your character, not only, being able to progress the Johto Islands but also the Kanto region. When it was re-released for the DS I literally wet myself with excitement, and again Pokémon exceeded my expectations. The PokéWalker was an amazing idea and being able to battle with your Pearl and Diamond Pokémon gave the game a whole new lease of life.
So as a mega Pokémon fan I can sum up this blog by saying that Pokémon will always have a place in my heart. Lets hope that good things will come from Pokémon X/Y.
